Saturday, May 26, 2012

On Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend, May 26th, a severe thunderstorm hit Orangeburg around 2:40 PM.  Our volunteers were first called to assist our neighbors in Nyack as they were fighting a structure fire.  This call came in at 2:53 PM.  The volunteers did not return to their families until after 6:30 PM.  During this time the volunteers handled four additional calls for help in Nyack and rescued two people from the flooding on Route 303.
